See the Captional Viewer App in Action

A screen recording of Captional during a church service. You can hear the presenter in the background, although the volume is relatively low and the room is very reverberant.

This video is a screen recording of the Captional Viewer App during a church service. The audio quality is rather poor, which probably demonstrates how an individual who is hard of hearing may experience sound in a very reverberant space, like a church hall.

An individual with partial hearing loss may be able to understand 70 to 90% of what is spoken. When a word or phrase is not understood, they can look back to the Captional Viewer App to catch up.

This might be a benefit to those of us with ADHD, when I find that my mind has drifted away I can scroll back in the app to catch up on what I just missed!
